The 'Children's Commissioner' row and general stupidity

The mother of James Bulger, the toddler who was subject to an unspeakably brutal murder in 1993 at the hands of two young, fucked up children, has decided to get back into the media spotlight for the millionth time this month. It's not that she does not have a point (at times), it's that her actions appear senseless and unseemly. It's a private matter - what is the point in all this public fuss?

The latest outburst concerns her (very understandable) fury against someone with the infuriating, New Labour-esque, ridiculously grandiose, irritatingly arrogant and authoritarian title: the 'Children's Commissioner' (which is almost as blood-boiling as that other one they use: Tsar).

This imbecilic, extremist social democrat is alleged to have referred to the Bulger murder as 'unpleasant', whilst describing Bulger's fate in the passive voice (he 'ended up dead'). Worse still, this Dr Maggie Atkinson, nay 'Children's Commissioner' watchamacallit, said that the killers (Venebles and Thompson) should never have stood trial for their, er, actions (not crimes), because they were too young and didn't know what they were doing, bless 'em.

Of course, anyone with any knowledge of what the two did will realise immediately that this argument is false and fishily extreme in its leftism, because kids of an even younger age than 10 know the difference between right and wrong, at least to the point that they know not to savagely decapitate and desecrate a living human, causing him unconscionable agony in the process.

But my main point is this: Why the fuck are we surprised by any of this?

What do you think Labour have been doing over the last 13 years, you dolts, if not stuffing key and newly-invented positions at the top of the social, political and cultural elite with left wing, 'liberal' social democrats with certain ideas about society, human nature and rights?

The marxoid, deranged ideas evident in this Commissioner woman are widespread. Ideas like this are held by more people in top positions than anyone sane would care to hear about.

And as for the people of Liverpool, the same people who have appeared in recent vox pops on Telly to scream for brutal justice for the Bulger killers, just what the fuck did you expect to happen after all these years of voting for your precious 'Labour' Party? You vote left, you get left. Well, the new type anyway. Once upon a time, back in the day, you could have been a Labour man or woman and still believed in tough punishments for criminals and the rule of law. Now that is all Nasty Party right wing stuff, apparently, and it's all about love and rehabilitation.

Well, there's a cause and effect for most things, and this is one of them. How ironic that the crime occurred in Liverpool; one of the country's most die-hard socialist hotbeds. And what a fucking surprise that the poor blighter 10 year old, who couldn't possibly have known what he was doing, has turned out to be a sick cunt aged 27.

You fucking mugs will never get it, will you?

Your post sums up why I find this tribalist nature towards political parties fairly obscene.

"Me dear old dad voted Labour, so I'll vote Labour".

Good. It's not like the 1970s taught yer dear old newly unemployed dad anything.

I'm not a member of any political party and am never likely to be. They're full of politicians and politics these days is about policy, not people (not the right sort of people, anyway). I'm about people. It seems you are too.

It's a slow game. But we'll win it.

Ah, "progress".

"Progress" wouldn't be so bad if the "progressives" actually looked at the results of their ideas, correcting their approaches in response to new evidence, and learning from mistakes. But that never seems to happen. They stick dogmatically (conservatively?) to their pseudo-religious principles and find excuses for everything that goes wrong.

I visit this blog once, the right-wing cultural nihilst J. D., using all sorts of the most foul language imaginable, writing an angry diatribe against the rotten society his libertarian friends helped to create from their ivory towers.

It's time for a return to the tenets of traditional English society: monarchy, the hereditary peerage, the trade unions, the nationalized industries and the real British jobs that were all destroyed by the saboteurs all the way from the middle 1960s, through to the unconservative Thatcher period and up until the present day.

Britannia is in ruin and the social, moral and cultural revolutionary J. D. is at the vanguard of the movement to plunge it into an even deeper abyss.

Mr 'Demetriou' may be aware that we have clashed in the past. I was not aware that only my Christian name would be displayed should I post under the Google ID.

Mr 'Demetriou' attacks me from behind his cloak of anonymity, but as a social liberal and neoliberal he is as responsible for the sabotage of this United Kingdom as the New Labour New Left are.

I feel sorry for Kyle (whom I suspect of being Wesley Crosland they sound so alike...). This Hitchens blog contributor really fancies himself as somewhat of a pseud. Sadly, he's a daft no-mark with precious little idea about politics.

This is a 'man' who up until 6 months ago, didn't know anything whatsoever about the IRA. He got outed on Hitchens by some sharp observers and caught badly with his pants down. I believe they call it getting 'PWNED' on the net.

You need to pay closer attention to your tutors, young Kyle.

Mr 'Demetriou' is mistaken for thinking I am Wesley Crosland, though I do take it as a great compliment to be associated with him. Mr 'Demetriou' might also take some advice from David Lindsay, another Hitchens contributor, who maintains a far better blog than he does.

You are a curious little chap. And clearly rather confused.

You are one of these strange creatures who occupies this odd little section of the political spectrum. The one where people insist they are conservative whilst holding beliefs almost entirely identical to old labour socialists.

As if a strong, omnipresent, protectionist state that led a command economy and ran industry could ever be free of non-conservative, left wing influence.

Your belief system is so tragically flawed, I wouldn't even describe it as romantic or idealistic. It's just plain fantasy land stuff.
