What hope liberty?

What hope liberty, when the biggest party of civil liberties, the 'Liberal Democrats', lends itself in full support of the disgusting, disgraceful, illiberal and authoritarian policy of using full body scanners at airports?

Thanks go out to the brilliant and principled liberal and 'Lib Dem' blogger Charlotte Gore for bringing this to the public's attention. I did not know that the Lib Dems supported this soon-to-be-rolled-out policy until I read her piece.

How on earth can the Lib Dems do this? I mean, even politically and pragmatically speaking, the Lib Dems need to be looking to suck up votes from those upset and disillusioned with the trampling of civil liberties and basic freedoms from the state.

Can you get more invasive and wrong than this latest move generic cialis?

As with all the other authoritarian measures brought in by Labour, they won't make us safer, they'll make us more scared, less free and less safe.

As the brilliant Ron Paul correctly notes in his book 'Revolution' (a manifesto of sorts from the U.S. Libertarian leader and modern day thinker), one big factor in the west suffering from Islamic terrorism is the fact that we have interfered and intervened politically and militarily abroad purchase cialis.

I know that 'blow back' is usually a left wing hobby horse, but there's a seriously strong strand of truth to it. There's no excuse for murder and terror, but can we really now deny that intervening in the Middle East and pissing off lots of Muslims has led to a lot of angry ne'er do wells wanting to kick back?

Instead of the authoritarian policies, we need to take a look at the bigger picture cialis price. This means adopting a proper, fair non-interventionist stance alongside a fair and reasonable immigration policy (this means tightening it for the foreseeable future).

The full body scanners move is a victory for the government, and it's a victory for the bad men with the bombs. We are the losers purchase cialis. What a surprise there, then viagra.

Real liberals must challenge these things, and if the Lib Dems don't (and they don't) then they aren't liberals and they are therefore pointless and generic wankers.

The Liberal Party should never have merged with the SDP. The bastard child of that union was never going to be anything useful.

It was a bad thing, but sort of pragmatically made sense in the '80s. It's wildly outdated and useless in today's age and given what Labour have done to civil liberties, there's never been a better and more appropriate time for the Lib Dems to get back to their classical liberal roots.

Clegg is an awful leader, whatever way you look at it, and that he seriously thinks he offers an alternative to the other two is hilarious.

I completely agree that us interfering with other countries causes a backlash. The alleged reason for the Islam4UK Wootton Bassett March is for the civilian casualties in Afghanistan. Nothing would piss me off more than a load of foreigners coming into my country and accidentally killing my friends and family. According to the Wikipedia article on the matter there have been between 12 460 and 32 057 civilian deaths as a result of the war in Afghanistan.
