The BNP are not racist says Nick Griffin - but what about their constitution?

Interesting stuff indeed afoot at Fascist HQ. The Equality and Human Rights Commission wants to bring legal action against the BNP because its constitution "discriminates on the grounds of race and colour".

Many would take this as a given, taking the BNP for the nasty little bunch of fascist, bigoted, racists tossers they are. But Nick Griffin decides to do a politician on the subject and instead of defending his stance, he skews his party line.

ethnic groups who need special protection such as the English in their own country, who are now second class citizens were entitled to discriminate on that basis and not on the grounds of colour.

We are not discriminating on grounds of colour.

Indeed. There is one small flaw in this argument however, apart from being a party of the brotherhood of the British Isles that appears to be only really concerned with the English in this instance. The BNP constitution - a pdf of which can be read on their site here or a blog has a version here - defines it's membership within Section 2 part 1 as:
Membership of the BNP is strictly denned within the terms of, and our members also self define themselves within, the legal ambit of a defined ‘racial group’ this being 'Indigenous Caucasian’
Section 1 part 2(b) clearly states the party

is wholly opposed to any form of racial integration between British and non-European peoples...committed to stemming and reversing the tide of non-white immigration and to restoring...the overwhelmingly white makeup of the British population that existed in Britain prior to 1948
I challenge anyone to tell me that this is not racist. In fact I dare the twats that have been on here defending racism to tell me that. However, I will repeat for the umpteenth time that we at B&D are not opposed to the right the BNP or any other racist piece of shit has to expressing these views, in fact I disagree with with the use of the law to tell the BNP who they can offer membership to. It is totally wrong, but that is their view as a group and people should argue against them rather than simply ban them.

Which is why Nick Griffin's defence strikes me as strange. The party has very defined parameters of race, in fact it goes further by actually defining what qualifies as a member of the permitted 'Indigenous Caucasian’ 'race'
i) The Anglo-Saxon Folk Community; ii) The Celtic Scottish Folk Community; iii) The Scots-Northern Irish Folk Community; iv) The Celtic Welsh Folk Community; v) The Celtic Irish Folk Community; vi) The Celtic Cornish Folk Community; vii) The Anglo-Saxon-Celtic Folk Community; viii) The Celtic-Norse Folk Community; ix) The Anglo-Saxon-Norse Folk Community; x) The Anglo-Saxon-Indigenous European Folk Community; xi) Members of these ethnic groups who reside either within or outside Europe but ethnically derive from them.
If you are going to be so open about being so racist, why not simply say 'Yes, this is what we believe'? By saying that the party does not discriminate on the grounds of colour is to split hairs. for instance what is their policy on people of mixed race? Although they oppose 'racial integration between British and non-European', they would still be 'ethnically derived' from the oh so magnificent 'Indigenous Caucasians'. But no one ever held up the BNP and other Nazis as making intelligent argument other than the Oxford Union.

Listen to me, going on like a right self-hating liberal. I hate England I really do, I just can't stop myself hating all the racist bastards out there and therefore, by definition, I hate my own country. Sorry, 'race'.

The BNP is racist, as shown by its constitution. To say that it does not discriminate against colour is farcical. To hold up the English as an ethnic group is farcical. But then again so is the BNP. They are obsessed with the British being a race, which is so painfully not the case that it is shocking that so many people believe it. Quite how you can take a country like Britain, that has been invaded by wave after wave of immigrant forces for thousands of years and whose very language is a mongrel hybrid, and say that any of us are indiginous is hilarious.

Even the sheer irony of calling Anglo, Saxon, Norse or Celtic anything like indiginous is absurd, but to then qualify that by talking about European descent simply goes to show that what they are actually saying is 'White European'. They may as well delete that whole list of criteria and simply put 'White', because that is what is means.

I wonder if they accept the Celts of central Turkey. Of course not, because they are not celtic-Irish, celtic-Scottish or celtic any other bloody thing. What a load of complete bollocks.

It has to be racist - as no non-indigenous Caucasian could ever be a member of the party - and hence an MP or other official.

'Vote for me but you can't join the party you're voting for'...that dog really doesn't hunt, does it?

The definition of an idigenous Caucasian could be disputed in court, I'd guess. It's all on very dodgy anthropological ground.

"The Anglo-Saxon-Norse Folk Community"...total mumbo-jumbo.
